Now into its 9th year, the ever popular annual event returns for 2020 to the great location to play 3x rounds at two fine courses over three days.
Located in Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, Dinard Golf Club was founded by a small colony of British residents living in Dinard at the end of the 19th century.
Dinard Golf Club on the Emerald Coast is set on 50 hectares of broom – and gorse- covered heath and dunes overlooking the sea and was completed in 1887.
It wasn’t long before the Dinard Golf Club at Saint-Briac became famous, hosting many tournaments and being described thus in an 1890 edition of the Saturday Review:
“Its sandy soil makes it the best course in France today”… Dinard had become the epitome of “seaside golf”!
Set between heathland and sea-cliffs, this superb course offers magnificent views along the jagged coast of northern Brittany. Enjoy a truly invigorating
walk among the scent of wild broom and the sea along its 6052m of fairway overlooking the English Channel and the beach. When the wind blows,
Pléneuf du Val André is a truly formidable challenge!
Taking the Brittany Ferries overnight sailing from Portsmouth to St. Malo or Plymouth to Roscoff in a car with 4x golfers, you arrive in the morning
ready to play the first round of golf at Dinard Golf Club. Two Night's Accommodation is provided at the Hotel Ibis Plage St. Malo in a twin
share room.
The second round is at Golf du Pleneuf Val André the following day with the final round back at Dinard Golf Club prior to prizegiving and the return overnight ferry back to Portsmouth or Plymouth. It is expected that this event will attract teams from across the UK due to its unique location in stunning Brittany.
This tournament is for Ladies and Gentlemen Golfers and is run on the stableford format where prizes are up for grabs daily. Tournament entry must be registered by Friday 7th February 2020.
